CrisisReadyLab exists because local leaders deserve better. Our founder, Tom O’Sullivan, began his recovery career in the U.S. Virgin Islands after Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Since then, he has supported complex disaster recovery efforts in Maui, Louisiana, California, and beyond, collaborating closely with FEMA, state agencies, and local coalitions.
Repeatedly, he encountered the same issue: talented local leaders forced to navigate overwhelming tasks without the right tools, training, or support. He created CrisisReadyLab as the solution he wished existed from day one.
